The
SSN Trophy Hunting Working Group enhances information-sharing
amongst SSN Members concerned about CITES regulation of the
international trade in specimens of trophy-hunted species; prepares
information for dissemination to government officials and the general
public about trophy hunting and CITES; addresses trophy hunting issues
that are routinely discussed at CITES meetings (such as establishment
of export quotas, Resolutions of the Parties pertaining to the
international trade in specimens of trophy-hunted species, and listings
on the CITES Appendices of species that are trophy-hunted and traded
internationally); and tracks and responds, as appropriate, to other
issues related to trophy hunting and international trade.
