Le
Groupe de Travail du SSN sur
les Poissons encourage les pays
à proposer l’inscription à la CITES des
poissons qui sont commercialisés internationalement
d’une manière non durable. Le Groupe de Travail
apporte aux pays l'expertise technique et l'assistance
nécessaires pour leur permettre de préparer des
projets de proposition en leur fournissant des informations de base.
Jusqu’à aujourd’hui, le Groupe a
réussi à obtenir l’inscription du
requin blanc, du requin pèlerin, du requin baleine, du
napoléon et des hippocampes à l'Annexe II de la
CITES.
