The SSN Bear Working Group examines the threats facing each of the eight extant species of bear, and works to ensure that international trade in bears, their parts, or products made from them does not contribute to the further decline of wild populations. The global trade in bear paws, gallbladders, and bile imperils bear species worldwide.
